NaNoWriMo
From Packbat.net Wiki
The goal of National Novel Writing Month is to write a novel (or novelette -- the length requirement is 50,000 words) within the 30 days of November.
As Eric Burns-White explained on Websnark, there are good reasons to attempt this exercise. I have, several times - and failed, abominably, every time.
Here's to less abominable. Unless a yeti makes it into the novel, because that might be a bit abom. Uh, yeah.
